I have a few warm, fairly tough but much bulkier travel blankets that are great for the van and on camp but too big to take in a cabin rucksack on a plane or coach trip.
Thought I'd give this a go and have used it just a couple of times when camping in my van to check it out. It is cosy, very light and large enough to cover or wrap around a single person. The stitched through design should hopefully stop insulation moving about inside to keep its even insulation properties. I like the poppers to convert it into a "poncho wrap." It's also easy to stuff back in the pocket. My only concern is that the zip on the stuff pocket feels a bit weak and the teeth on mine didn't mesh properly from the start in one area, creating a tough spot for the zip runner to pass. If the zip breaks, it will lose its packability and need replacing. Any zip under tension or heavy wear should be YKK.
