Let me start out by saying that i love this chair. I was an original backer of the chair. When I received it, I was more than disappointed to say the least. The geometry of the fabric caused the seated person to continually slip downwards into a highly uncomfortable position. You felt like you were slipping right off the chair. I had looked into solutions to fix this and I came up with the idea to use Performix Super Grip clear non-skid fabric coating which is used to add a rubbery texture to fabric such as nylon. I wrote to Sitpack expressing my displeasure and was surprised to find out how responsive they were. They immediately contacted me telling me that they were aware of the problem the early chairs suffered from. They said that they came up with a solution and a new fabric seat cover, It was shipped to me with great haste all the while staying in contact with me. I thought putting the new fabric on would be difficult but with the removal of 3 screws the old fabric was off and the new fabric was on. but then through my own fault I broke one of the end caps during the installation process!!! Ugh. I contacted the company again and once more they responded immediately and immediately sent me out a replacement end cap and a link to a video explaining what i did wrong and how to properly put on the end cap. Incredible customer service. To make a long story short... The new fabric worked perfectly. The seat performs exactly as described. I couldn't be any more happy. And no one else will have to go through these issues since the company has long since acknowledged, addressed, and fixed the issue. I use the seat all the time whether it is out on the disc golf course or on a camping or strapped onto my handlebar harness on my mountain bike. It is surprisingly light and compact for a full-sized portable chair!!!

Unlike many people who only wanted it for one of those summer camping trips. I wanted it as an EDC (everyday carry) for work! I drive a subway for a living and there are some downtime when the line is a little messed up or with closures. There isn't a lot of places to sit in a station platform, and with covid it's not very possible to social distance at one bench.

I'm very happy I got this amazing feat of engineering in my hands now and I'm buying a Molly attachment for a large water bottle to place it on my bag.

One thing I do recommend is to deploy and retract it multiple times to soften it up and also pull as hard as you can before twisting

I also wanted to use it while training other operators however a little bit of movement and there is some instability and you have to use your own body to compensate however like many others have said this is not a lounge chair this is a portable beast and should be not compared any other way

I’d been looking for a tall-person camping chair, that was easy enough to carry and put up for someone with arthritis, for a long time before I found this. It’s light, fits easily in a backpack (or larger pocket) and once you’ve got someone else to loosen the joints then it’s a breeze to put up. As others have mentioned that initial grip and twist requires a bit more force than I can usually muster, but after putting it up twice everything it pretty easy even for me. If you aren’t used to hammock style chairs then it’s an unusual seating position, but I love it as it eases the pressure on my joints nicely. As long as you check that it’s on stable ground and keep both feet down it’s no problem, and on indoor floors it’s never an issue (I use mine to do the washing up, and in the garden). On fine sand it needed the base they sell to stay stable, but I used a bag for life on the one time this was an issue.

It was worth the initial Kickstarter/covid delays as it’s a really professional piece of kit and has clearly been extensively tested. I’d not hesitate to buy from these guys again and have recommended it to other outdoorsy people who need to sit down more often than most.

Quite possibly the happiest I’ve even been with a piece of crowdfunded kit.
